Services for David Andrew Parnell, retired area farmer, were held Saturday at the Church of God here officiated by Rev. Loyd G. Butler and Rev. Garlin Wilson.
Mr. Parnell was born October 13, 1880, in Texas and died February 26, 1963, at his home, 1822 W. Ave B.
He was married in 1902 to Nannie Scott in the Sandstone community and the couple has lived in Elk City for 17 years.
Mr. Parnell is survived by his wife of the home; three sons, Horace of Visalia, California; Dorace of Whittier, California; Don of Modesto, California; one daughter, Mrs. Eupha Lane of Lemon Grove, California; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and numerous friends.
Pall bearers were George Spell, Lee Daugherty, Bill Libby, Roy Baker, Raymond Nagle and Jack Rhoton.
Burial Berlin Cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Home.
