Allie Irena Marshall Dovell

Allie Irena Marshall Dovell was born to Dennis Eugene and Sarah Elouise Marshall at Berlin, Oklahoma on May 18, 1923 and passed away on August 14, 2013 at St. Anthony hospital in Oklahoma City.
She graduated from Berlin high school in 1941, later that year she married Amos Eugene Dovell at Cheyenne, Oklahoma on October 10, 1941.
To this union was born three children, Rita, Alan and James.
Amos and Rena were happily married for 71 years, 10 months and 4 days.
She was a homemaker for many years while her children were at home. After that she was employed at the Sayre school lunchroom, Farmers Coop Gin at Sayre, Chickasha Gin at Erick. Amos & Rena purchased the Sweetwater Gin in 1984. In 1992 Rena retired.
After retirement she enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting, quilting and sewing clothing for her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Alan Eugene Dovell; one daughter, Rita May Philippi and ten brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband of the home; one son, James and wife, Jan of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Peggy Ouzts and husband, Stacey of Utah; Corena Hammer and husband Ron, of Utah; James D. "Jamie" Dovell and wife, Naomi of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Jerrod Dovell of Enid, Oklahoma; six great grandchildren; one brother, Dennis "Dennie" Marshall and wife, Pat of Hobart, Oklahoma; one sister, Elouise Marshall of Elk City, Oklahoma; a very special friend, Gary Brimer; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Rose Chapel.
Burial will be at Berlin Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
