Funeral services for John Wilburn Shepard, 67-year-old retired Roger Mills county farmer, who died Friday, November 20, 1936 at his home four miles west of Hammon, will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the First Baptist church of Hammon with Rev. Isaacs officiating. Burial will be in the Barker cemetery.
Mr. Shepard, born March 18, 1886, in Georgia, had been a resident of Roger Mills county since 1900.
He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge.
Surviving him are seven sons and two daughters, V. L. Shepard of New Orleans, Louisiana; Virgil Shepard, John W. Shepard and Robert S. Shepard, all of Hammon; Richard Shepard of Catonville, Maryland; Roy Shepard of Baltimore, Maryland; Charles Shepherd of Portales, New Mexico; Mrs. Sallie Duckworth of Devine, Texas; and Mrs. Effie Robinson of Edinburg, Texas; as well as other relatives and friends.
