Daniel Lee "Dan" Ayers

Daniel Lee Ayers, age 83 of Sardis, Oklahoma passed away from this life on November 13th, 2023 at his home.

Dan was born on February 27th, 1940 in Sardis, Oklahoma to Icey (Rush) and George Ayers. He grew up here in Sardis. He proudly served his country in the 45th Infantry Division of the National Guard. He worked for Wilson's packing plant in Oklahoma City. Married Karen Ayers and was the father to Jimmy, Danetta and Aaron Ayers.

Daniel moved to Soper, Oklahoma and drove a propane truck for a few years. Then, he and his older brother Tommy started hauling logs. Dan enjoyed driving a truck and hauled logs until he retired. Dan had a great sense of humor and was a good storyteller. He loved living in the country and was proud of his property here at Sardis.

Graveside Services will be on Monday, November 20th, 2023 at 3:00PM at Sardis Cemetery.
Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service.
