Johnny Ray Barnes was born October 3, 1960 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Amos and Almeda (McCandless) Barnes.

He passed from this life October 8, 2010 in Rattan, Oklahoma, at the age of 50. 

Johnny lived in Rattan for three years after moving from Guthrie, Oklahoma. He was a member of Victory Assembly of God in Rattan. Johnny enjoyed fishing, going to church, gardening, & talking to family. He especially loved dogs and taking care of strays. 

Johnny was preceded in death by his father: Amos Barnes; Grandma & Grandpa McCandless; and Grandma & Grandpa Barnes. 

He is survived by his mother: Almeda Baker; two brothers: Robert LeRoy Barnes of Rattan, Oklahoma and Amos Barnes, Jr. & wife Shelly of Kiowa, Kansas; four sisters: Karen Boyett & husband Kenneth of Rattan, Oklahoma, Janet Miller of Wichita, Kansas, Connie Gray of Bethany, Oklahoma, and Ann Taylor of Wichita, Kansas; several aunts and uncles; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends. 

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM ~ Monday, October 11, 2010 ~ Victory Assembly of God ~ Rattan 
Officiating: Pastor David Goff 
Interment: Rattan Cemetery ~ Rattan, Oklahoma
