A Memorial Service for Forney Dale Bailey, age 80, will be at 10:00 AM Monday, July 16, 2012, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, with Rev. Jeff Jackson officiating. Military Honors presented by Vance Air Force Silver Talon Honor Guard. Cremated remains will be buried at Fewell Cemetery.

Forney was born to Zachary and Grace (Byers) Bailey on January 1, 1932, in Fewell, Oklahoma and died Monday, July 9, 2012, in Enid. Forney graduated from High School in Nashoba, and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1951. He met Loretta Apel in Ft. Worth, and they married on October 16, 1953 in Enid. Forney was transferred to Vance AFB, where he was a fireman. After his honorable discharge in 1960, he was the Assistant Fire Chief at Vance for over 35 years, and worked at Pellow Monument for over 35 years. Forney loved to hunt and fish. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by daughter Debbie Warry and husband Fred of Victoria, Australia; grandchildren, Zack and Stephanie Bailey and Emma Grace, John and Nicole Bailey, Xavier and Felicity, all of Enid.

Forney was preceded in death by his wife Loretta, son Roger, and several brothers and sisters. Memorials may be made to Carter Home Health Care or Enid Dialysis Center.
