Everett A. Brownfield, age 76, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away May 28, 2011, in Guthrie. He was born on October 9, 1934, in Kasouma, Oklahoma to Homar and Elsie (Rush) Brownfield.

He married Linda Carrol Harnoming on May 23, 1964.

Everett was a former member of the IEC and was an Electrical Contractor for many years. He loved Blue Grass Music and wrote Blue Grass and Gospel Music. He also loved family history and hunting.

Everett is survived by his wife Linda of the home, Children Richard Brownfield of Altus; Bobby (Valerie) Brownfield of Midwest City; Margaret (Dave) Hagwood of Granite; Donna (Roger) Christian of Altus; Gene (Katy) Brownfield of Mustang; Terry Brownfield of Guthrie; Billy (Barbara) Weeks of Guthrie; Everett (Marie) Weeks of Idaho; Tim Weeks of Oklahoma City and Henry Dean Weeks of Sherman, TX. He is also survived by siblings Cecil (Betty) Brownfield of Mustang; Geneva (Bill) Taylor of Paris, TX; Floyd (Cleta) Brownfield of Paris, TX; Punchie (Debbie) Brownfield of Sawyer and sister in law Betty Brownfield of Harrah. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Coy.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 3, 2011, at the First Baptist Church, 401 S. Broad, Guthrie with Rev. Hersey Hammons officiating. A Memorial Service will also be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Jumbo Cemetery, Jumbo, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 31, from 12:00 until 6:00 p.m. Arrangements by Hayes Funeral Home. You may sign the on line guestbook at www.hayesfh.com.
