Willie Mae Swearengin, born
October
7, 1942, passed peacefully on
April
18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, sacrifice, and unwavering
devotion to her family.
Willie Mae was a devoted mother, grandmother, and caregiver. She was the
beloved mother of six children—four sons and two daughters. She was preceded
in death by her daughter,
Tina
Renee Manous, and by her husband,
Wendell
Dewey Swearengin, who passed away in
2011.
A homemaker throughout her life, Willie Mae dedicated herself fully to
raising her children, ensuring they were nurtured, supported, and prepared
for successful lives. Her greatest work was done within her home, where she
created stability, warmth, and unconditional love that shaped her family for
generations.
When her husband fell into ill health, Willie Mae faithfully cared for him
until his passing, honoring their marriage with patience, devotion, and
compassion. After his death, her role as a caregiver continued as she
lovingly cared for her grandchildren and others who needed her steady
presence and nurturing heart.
Survivors
Willie Mae is survived by her children, listed from oldest to youngest:
• William Ray Wetz
• David Paul Henderson
• Shelly Jo Ann Jayne
• Lance Wade Swearengin
• Cody Lynn Swearengin
She was also a proud grandmother to many grandchildren, all of whom brought
her great joy and purpose in her later years.
Legacy
Willie Mae Swearengin lived a life defined by service, sacrifice, and
steadfast love. Her legacy is not measured in words, but in the strong
family she leaves behind and the many lives she touched through her care.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
