Murleen (Alford) Hale

Murleen Hale went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 9, 2017, in Antlers at the age of 87.
Murleen was born on June 20, 1929, to Houston Yancy and Inez Emily (England) Alford in Antlers, Oklahoma.

Murleen married her late husband, Richard in Paris, Texas, on December 26, 1946. She's was member of the Antlers Community for 59 years. During that time Murleen was a member of the Ethel Missionary Baptist Church and was an active member of her Church's women's group. Murleen enjoyed spending her time quilting, reading, and gardening. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Murleen will be deeply missed.

Murleen is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hale; parents H.Y. and Inez Alford; and brother William Alford.

She leaves behind a loving family that includes her son Andy Hale of Antlers, Oklahoma; nephew Rocky Alford and wife Amanda of Antlers, Oklahoma; sister-in-laws Linda Ingram of Antlers, Oklahoma, and Nell Robenett of Yukon, Oklahoma; brothers Billie Alford of Wichita Falls, Texas, Ralph Alford of Antlers, Oklahoma, and J.D. Alford of Wichita Falls, Texas; sister Hellen Gibbs of Bradetten, Florida; grandchildren Amber Hale and Wes Seymour of Valliant, Oklahoma, Alisha Hale and Kris O'Neal of Dodd City, Drew and Stephanie Hale of Durant, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren Cheyenne and Cierra Johnson of Dodd City and Dac Hale, as well as many other family members and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will include Brandon Alford, Curtis Ingram, Cameron Ingram, and Chance "Bubba" Franks.

Honorary pallbearers will include Vernon Eastridge and Michael Nowlin. 

Services will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ethel Missionary Baptist Church with Ray Eastridge officiating. Interment will follow at the Dela Cemetery under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Service of Antlers.
