George Austin “Buck” Satterfield, age 92, passed away March 22, 2009 in Antlers.

He was born September 1, 1916 in Allen, Oklahoma to George Henry and Ponola (Harvey) Satterfield. 

Buck served in WWII in the United States Army. He later married Rea Ham November 12, 1943 in Antlers. Buck enjoyed fishing, hunting gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Buck was preceded in death by his wife: Rea, parents: George Henry and Ponola Satterfield; two daughters: Angel Satterfield and Dolores Teachout; one sister: Opal Dillingham; four brothers: C. B. Satterfield, Wayland Satterfield, Kenneth Satterfield and Audylee Satterfield. 

He is survived by one son: Dwight Satterfield and wife, Judie of Antlers; two daughters: Donna Drake and husband, Ernie of Eureka, Kansas, Dixie Gregg and husband, Elmer of Springfield, Missouri; one brother: Billy Joe Satterfield and wife, Katherine of Wichita, Kansas; one sister: Janice Hedrick and husband, Jack of Antlers; seven grandchildren: Sylvia Peterson, Micah Sutter, Kamon Gregg, Christie Calvin, Damon Drake, Jerry Satterfield and Kimberly Sweet; eleven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 25, 2009 Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel
