Kathy Ann Henslee, a long time Antlers resident and extremely loved educator passed from this life on Friday May 8, 2020 at the age of 62 after a long battle with Leukemia.

Kathy (Davis) Henslee was born on July 21, 1957 to George Barry and Marion Davis. Kathy showed her school spirit in high school as the majorette and was an All State tubist. She loved school and decided to pursue a career in education. Kathy touched the lives of many students during her 30 plus years with Antlers Public Schools. She worked up until the Covid-19 Pandemic shut down school and was planning on retiring at the end of the school year. There is no doubt many would have attended her retirement party to tell her of the immeasurable ways she has impacted their lives. Kathy’s passions included yoga, health, and fitness. She loved all animals, especially her cats. She enjoyed riding horses and spending time drinking wine and laughing with her friends. Kathy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents George and Marion Davis.

She is survived by her son AJ Henslee and wife Amber, grandchildren Austin and Allie Henslee, sister Mary Ann Davis, sister George Ann and husband Kim Ford, niece April Foster and husband Rich, nephew Scott Ford and wife Rita, nephew Lon Ford, and numerous other family members and friends. “Namaste means that whatever is precious and beautiful in me honors whatever is precious and beautiful in you.” ― Debasish Mridha Namaste, Kathy.
