Graveside services for Norman Lee Askew will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Antlers City Cemetery with Brent Franks officiating.

Norman Lee Askew was born July 12, 1942, in Antlers, Oklahoma, to Marvin Milton and Edith Delma (Holliday) Askew. He passed from this life June 4, 2014, in Muskogee, OK, at the age of 71.

Norman served in the United States Army from December 2 1963 to September 8, 1964. Norman had lived in New Mexico, mostly for the last 49 years. He married Bernice (Benrita) Antonia on December 23, 1964 in Grants, NM. He moved back to Antlers in April 2013.

Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Askew; his parents, Edith & Marvin; brother, Marvin Askew Jr.; sister, Vinada (Kincaid) Mustang.

He is survived by three brothers, James Kincaid & friend, Dean Farley, of Antlers, OK, Leonard Massey & wife, Linda, also of Antlers, OK, and Ronald Massey & wife, Toye, of Wilburton, OK; three sisters, Joyce (Kincaid) Sewell of Marysville, CA, Deborah (Massey) Broomfield & husband, Vernon, of Wilburton, OK, and Neola Gladiene Massey, also of Wilburton, OK; one aunt, Annie Cleo Andrews of San Jacinto, CA; step-sisters, Lavern Porter of Grants, NM, & Claudine Sloan & husband, Don, of Fay, OK; nephew, Billy Porter of Grants, NM; nieces & nephew friends.
Also, his little dog, Joann, who he loved very much.
