Carolyn June (Montgomery) White, 78, of Choctaw, Oklahoma passed from this life Sunday, July 29, 2018 at her home.
She was born June 23, 1940 to Harvie and Exie (Smith) Montgomery in Seminole, Oklahoma.
Carolyn was raised in Tecumseh, Oklahoma and graduated with the class of 1958 from Tecumseh High School.
She married Carl Francis White on August 23, 1960 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.
Carolyn enjoyed teaching small children in Sunday school. She was a very kind, humble, generous, loving and caring woman. She enjoyed doing many acts of kindness in private and never let anyone pay for anything.
Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who loved her family dearly. She was the most wonderful cook, and her fried chicken and dumplings will always be her family’s favorite. Carolyn was a great gardener, loved flowers, butterflies, Elvis and Rod Stewart. She loved spending time with her family; they were the focal point of her life. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvie and Exie Montgomery; son, Carl Eugene White; grandson, Branden White; 2 sisters, Kathryn Alexander and Frances Collins; and 1 brother, Ed Montgomery; and brother-in-law, David Johnson.
Those left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, of nearly 58 years, Carl F. White of the home; 3 daughters, Donna Hinkle, Diane Myers and Amy (Charles) Hindman; son, Kevin (Wendy) White; 11 grandchildren, Amity Stevens, Jamie (James) Crum, Philip (Heather) Myers, Courtney (John) Lohman, Zachary Hindman, Haylee Hinkle, Dakota Hindman, Cody White, Dalton (Kayli) White, Madison (Levi Ready) White and Cade White; 12 great-grandchildren, Hunter Myers, Presley Myers, Ryatt White, Easton Myers, Addi Ready, Jameson Crum, Sawyer Lohman, Everleigh Lohman, Ellis Lohman, Kason White, Branton Glover and Leighton White; sister, Sharon Johnson; brother, Bobby (Edna) Montgomery; brother-in-law, Larry Alexander; sisters-in-law, Jan (Eddy) Parker and Donna (Robert) Britton; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 2, 2018 and continue through service time. Family gathering to greet friends and family will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 3, 2018 at Bethel Church, 3254 N. Choctaw Road, Choctaw, OK with Dr. Dick Temple officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
