Margaret Bernice Talley, 82, of Shawnee, Oklahoma formally a resident of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, January 28th, 2022, after an extended illness, surrounded by family in Shawnee.
She was born November 22, 1939, to Thelma Miller (Smith) in Little Rock, Arkansas. Margaret was later adopted by her maternal aunt and uncle, Margaret Marie Shanks, and William Shanks, of Solomon, Kansas.
Margaret was a 1958 graduate of Salina Central High School, Salina, Kansas.
Margaret was a dance instructor and television spokesperson for various Oklahoma City companies. She enjoyed being a florist and a naturalist.
She married Robert G. Talley April 17th, 1960, in Salina, Kansas. Upon marriage to Robert, she became stepmother to Pamelia Bouziden (Talley) and Robert Brent Talley. Margaret and Robert had two children, Robin G. Talley, and Samatha Ann Talley-Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandson Kyle Rhanson Talley, and her granddaughter Ashleigh Samantha Bouziden.
Those left to cherish her memory are one son Robin G. Talley and Shelley Coffman-Talley of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one daughter Samatha Ann Talley-Anderson and Charles Anderson, Jr., of Edmond, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Taracasa Jean Snipes (Talley), Beaux Talley, Braden Talley, Charity Melber (Bouziden), Zavier Talley, Caitlin Lincoln (Anderson), Charles (Chase) Anderson III, Caden Anderson, Cierra Cobb (Anderson), and Colby Anderson; two great-grandchildren, Ella Snipes, and Colton Anderson; and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 4, 2022 at Cooper Funeral Home and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Family officiating. Private interment at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
