Alfred Gene Stephen

September 18, 1942 ~ February 29, 2024

Alfred Gene Stephen age 81, of Ada, Oklahoma passed away February 29, 2024.

He was born September 18, 1942 in Flint, Michigan to James and Ida Pauline (Miller) Stephen.

Gene grew up in Flint and graduated from Beecher High School.

After high school he served in the United States Marine Corp, for a four year enlistment.

Gene worked for General Motors and a UAW Union Representative, and retired after 34 years.

He enjoyed guns, shooting, mowing and visiting with friends and family, and in his younger days riding horses and fast cars.

Gene is preceded in death by; his parents; his daughter, Veronica Meinders; two sisters, Barbara Gilliam, and Louise Smith.

He is survived by; his daughter, Monica Louise Baden; his son Dallas "Gene" Stephen; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; his brother, Dallas Stephen; his two sisters, Dorothy Pease, and Marian Clemens; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday March 13, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel, with officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
