Randy Dean Childers, 64, of Bethel Acres passed from this life Thursday, November 5, 2020 at his home. He was born July 8, 1956 to Doyle Dean and Carolyn Sue (McClure) Childers in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Randy was raised in Bethel Acres and graduated with the class of 1974 from Bethel High School. He earned his Associate’s degree from Okmulgee Tech in Heating and Air Conditioning. He married Kathy Lynne Nix on September 10, 1977 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Randy was co-owner of Danran Mechanical for many years and co-owner of All Mechanical Solutions Heat & Air. He was a very determined man. Randy loved to go coon hunting and fishing. He was a talented athlete and played Men’s League Softball and Basketball. Randy loved any kind of sports. He especially enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids play sports. He never missed a game of his kids or his grandkids. Randy was a good family man and loved his family dearly. He will be truly missed by all those that knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lavern and Leora Childers and Jim and Christine McClure. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 43 years, Kathy Childers of the home; 2 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, Kyle and Loretta Childers and Kristopher and Amy Childers; 4 grandchildren, Kole, Kai, Konnor and Kapri; his parents, Doyle and Carolyn Childers; 3 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law, Danny and Brenda Childers, Kenny and Michelle Childers and Mark and Stephanie Childers; numerous nieces, nephews; and many friends and extended family. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 8, 2020 and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 9, 2020 at New Hope Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
