Glen Burks, 67, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020 in Shawnee.

He was born May 7, 1952 to Dean and Ruby (Thomason) Burks in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Glen was raised in the Johnson Community and attended Earlsboro Public Schools.

He held many jobs in his life and was considered a Jack of All Trades. Glen worked for The City of Shawnee, Wayne Manufacturing, Firelake Grocery and Budget Saver Food Warehouse.

Glen was a member of Johnson Church of God for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Ruby Burks; and sister, Rosemary Burks.

Survivors include his son, Scott Burks of Shawnee, OK; brother, Gary Phillips of Orange, Texas; and other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 10, 2019 and continue through service time. Family gathering to greet friends and family will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 10, 2020 at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Johnson Church of God with Reverend Charles Green, Johnson Church of God officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
