DELORES J. WASHINGTON
1933 - 1998


Lifelong Shawnee resident Delores J. Murdock Wallace Washington died Tuesday in a Midwest City hospital at the age of 65.
She was born May 30, 1933, in Shawnee to Edison and Loa Reed Murdock.
She attended Shawnee Schools.
She was a technician for AT&T before her retirement and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electric Workers.
Her parents and one son preceded her in death.
Surviving are four daughters, Michelle Montgomery of Shawnee and Deborah Wachter, Cheryl Wallace and Marquita Kickapoo, all of Norman; one son, Kevin Washington of Kansas; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one aunt, Francis Meshquekennock of Shawnee.
Tribal rites were Thursday at the Carol Patterson home.
Tribal burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Wakolee Cemetery with Richard Nulake officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
Sac and Fox Nation flags are being flown at half staff in her memory.
