VADA ILENE WARREN
1927 - 2015


Vada Ilene Brown Grubaugh Warren passed peacefully on April 7, 2015, at the age of 88. She was born on January 12, 1927, in Meeker, Oklahoma to Malcom Graham and Leola Jane Flowers Brown.
Vada was a homemaker and worked various jobs throughout her life.
She also was the owner of a Daylight Donuts shop in Norman, Oklahoma from 1957 to 1971.
She was kind and generous, loved her family and friends and was passionate about quilting, gardening and serving in her church. She was a long-time member of Morningstar Baptist Church in Meeker and a current member of the First Baptist Church in Meeker.
Vada is preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Willis Grubaugh; second husband, Clarence M. Warren; sisters, Marie Lowe, Nora Brown and Betty Loman; son, Charles Kenneth Grubaugh; stepsons, James M. Warren and John R. Warren and stepdaughter, Patricia G. Warren.
Survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law, Lewis and Rosemary Brown, S.W. “Dub” Brown and R. J. and Ruth Brown; sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita and Albert Laughlin and Carolyn and Eddie Johnson; step-son, Larry Warren and his wife, Holly; daughter-in-law, Mary Sue Warren; grandchildren, Whittni Grubaugh, Kiki Westmoreland and Josh Grubaugh; step-grandchildren, Don Morgan, Linda Miller, Mark Miller and Bill Warren; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, many nieces and nephews, other numerous family and friends.
Visitation and viewing will be held at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Meeker.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Meeker with Bro. Joe Jones officiating. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Vada’s life.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
