JOHN HENDERSON SLATTERY
1933 - 2008


Lifelong Shawnee resident John Henderson Slattery, 75, died Thursday, October 16, 2008, in Shawnee after a short battle with cancer.
John was born May 18, 1933, in St. Louis, Oklahoma to Jerome Henderson and Bessie Velma Garrison Slattery. He attended school in Shawnee.
Mr. Slattery retired from McCoy Tree Surgery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Bessie Slattery; sisters, Mozelle, Betty May and Pauline; a nephew, Jerry John Slattery; and a niece, Sheila K. Sparks.
Survivors include nieces and their spouses, Lisa and Wayne, Tina, Jeanie, Jody and Charlie, Coky and Robert, Donna Jean and Dewayne, and Loretta; nephews and their spouses, Sam and Sharon, George, Sparky, Rick, and Tommy and Rita; sister, Aleta Miles of Shawnee; sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Doyle Pitts of Shawnee; ex-sister-in-law, Glenda and Bobby Ramsey of Shawnee; numerous other relatives and friends.
Uncle, you will be missed by everyone.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Tecumseh Cemetery.
