William Howard "Bill" Derrick, age 80, of McLoud, Oklahoma was born on May 11, 1935, in Newalla, Oklahoma.

He was the son of James Harvey and Lois Isabel Rogers Derrick. He left this life on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, in McLoud, Oklahoma.

Bill married Arlene Mae Hoffman on August 1, 1955, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She passed away in 1991. He married Rita McDonald Underwood on September 17, 1993, in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Bill retired from Tinker AFB. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Newalla, Oklahoma, where he was a faithful servant of God. He was also a member of Jolly Elders, the Ministerial Alliance and the Newalla Community Reunion Committee.

He enjoyed gardening, working in the yard and visiting in the hospitals and nursing homes.

Bill was also preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Rita Derrick of McLoud, one daughter and son-in-law,Tamara and Michael Teague of Newalla, step-son and wife, Mike and Jamie Underwood of Edmond, Oklahoma, step-daughter and husband, Michelle and Roy Johnston of Norman, Oklahoma, eight grandchildren, Amanda Keithley and husband, Chris of Moore, Oklahoma, Sarah Dixon and husband, Joel of Cambridge, England, Derek Teague and wife, Katie of Oklahoma City, Jordan Underwood and wife, Elise of Edmond, Oklahoma, Hannah Underwood of Edmond, Oklahoma, Leah Underwood of Edmond, Oklahoma, Kylee Johnston of Norman, Oklahoma, Julie Johnston of Norman, Oklahoma, one great-granddaughter, Abigail Joy Dixon of Cambridge, England and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Decenber 10 at Smith-Parks Funeral Service, 2039 N. Tim Holt Dr., Harrah, Oklahoma.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Newalla, 20800 SE 59th St., Newalla, OK 74857.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2015, at the First Baptist Church of Newalla, Newalla, Oklahoma.

Interment will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Newalla, Oklahoma.
