JANICE GATHEL ALLEN
1937 - 2012


Janice Gathel Askew Allen, McLoud, Oklahoma, age 74, was born on July 3, 1937 in Fanshaw, Oklahoma.
She was the daughter of Troy and Lillian Martindale Askew. She left this life on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Janice was a homemaker and a member of New Life Baptist Church.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Askew.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Virgle and Lola Allen of McLoud, Oklahoma, daughter, Terresa Allen of Norman, Oklahoma, brother, Leonard Askew of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, two sisters, Stella Lewis and Margaret Steitler, both of Dewey, Oklahoma, four grandchildren, Shaun Michael Allen and wife, Maranda, Kenneth Ray Allen, Tonya S. Robins and husband, Brett and Shaunna M. Smith; five great-grandchildren, Nicona Lindsey Lane, Zachariah Cody Allen Smith, Hallie Nichole Robins, Grady Cole Robins, Taylor Kole Allen and Soon to be Baby Allen and many other relatives and friends.
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2012, at New Life Baptist Church Newalla, Oklahoma with Rev. Mark Patterson officiating.
Interment will follow at Dale Cemetery, Dale, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, Oklahoma.
