Veda Mae Ringer Haislip

March 30, 1925 ~ October 10, 2008

Veda Mae Haislip, 83, of Midwest City passed away Friday, October 10, 2008. Veda was born March 30, 1925 in Savanna, Oklahoma to William H. and Elsie E. (Hinkle) Ringer. Veda married James S. Haislip and enjoyed their 67 years of marriage. Veda was a lover of the outdoors where she enjoyed going to the lake, fishing, working in the yard and gardening. Veda was a charter member of Aydelotte Baptist Church in Shawnee where the Haislips lived for over 20 years.

Preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.

Veda is survived by her husband, Jim; 4 daughters: Anita Pugh, Fran Traweek & husband Toby, Donna Vise and Shirley Santos & husband Clarence; grandchildren Paul Traweek & wife Christine, Katrina Leonard & husband Greg, Vicky Traweek, Lisa Blackford, Dea Vise, Gary Vise, James Vise & wife Mary Fran, and Jalene Santos; 11 great grandchildren; 2 brothers; 2 sisters and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Veda will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Dale Cemetery.
