Rachel Ann Davis

August 19,1988 ~ Augist 28, 2007

Davis, Rachel born on August 19, 1988 in Oklahoma City left unexpectedly to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 28, 2007.

The Lord looked down to earth and needed an angel; he asked for ours and took her to heaven. Although we struggle to understand the needs of our Savior we are comforted to know she lies in our Savior's arms for eternity.

Rachel attended Little Axe Schools graduating in 2006. Rachel had just started her second year at OCCC enrolled in nursing studies with her ultimate goal of becoming an RN. Her chosen field reflected her compassion for others and her willingness to help those in need. Rachel struggled and conquered health problems; this is why she wanted to be a nurse; to help others and to be able to tell them 'I know exactly how you are feeling', because she had truly walked in those foot steps. Rachel approached life's obstacles with courage and dignity; never wavering in her belief that God would see her through. She could light up a room with her smile and her positive beliefs in life. Everyone she met was a friend and every friend she had was special to Rachel; she cherished them all. She was steadfast with her morals and never wavered the minute her mind was made up. She is and will always remain a constant reminder of compassion and love to all those who were blessed enough to know her. Rachel was and always will be a great encouragement to her loving family and friends through the memories of her beautiful spirit and smile. We seek comfort in the fact that Rachel would want us to carry on by the examples she set forth in her life. We Love You Rach!

Rachel leaves a void in the lives of her parents, Greg and Terry Davis of Newalla, OK; brother Chad Davis, wife Abbye and niece Emelyn of Midwest City; sister Leigha and nephew Easton; grandparents Leonard and Aloma Fortinberry of Sanford, MI; Louis and Maxine Torok of Gaines, MI and Benjamin and Mildred Lasley of Farwell, MI. Uncles and Aunts Barry and Sue Davis, Garry and Kathy Davis, Sandi Alimoradi, Matt, Mark, Todd, and Jenny Torok; John Lasley and so many friends; including extended family members in Michigan, Oklahoma, Mississippi and, Florida.

The family of Rachel Davis wishes to thank all our family and friends for their love, support and words of encouragement through this difficult time.

Viewing will be Friday, August 31 at Barnes and Johnson Funeral Home from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, September 1 at Pecan Valley Baptist Church, 17851 S. Harrah Road, Newalla, Oklahoma.
