William Roy Cox was born September 21, 1929 in McLoud, OK to William Gilbert Cox and Lillie Mae Williams Cox. He passed Thursday, March 12, 2020 after his battle with cancer at home.

He married the love of his life, Juanita Raye Hughes on January 7, 1950 in Midwest City, OK.

He loved spending time with family and at Lake Eufaula; taking “Post Office” runs with his darlin’, traveling, fishing, helping others and he had a nickname for everyone he held dear.

Bill joined the Army at the age of sixteen. He fought in WWII and then was recalled for the Korean Conflict. In 1956, he joined the Midwest City Fire Department. After retiring in 1979, he held positions in Community Development and Code Enforcement in Del City, Mustang and Spencer.

He is survived by his children, Debbie and Jerry Roberts, Mike Cox and Sharon, and Jyl Cox and Greg Walker. Grandchildren: Amy and Jeff Ingram, Grant and Jamie Roberts, Jerrod Roberts, Tammy and Josh Mostyn, Erik and Charies Bedford, and Jessie and Jason Gage; 11 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Granddaughter along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents, all his brothers and sisters and one grandson.
