Thomas R. Cooper

Thomas R. Cooper , 82, of Dale, OK, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2004. Tom was born June 14, 1922 in Winchester, KY.

He served in World War II receiving the Bronze Star for valor in battle. Tom was a truck driver for most of his career retiring from the State of Oklahoma in 1984. He loved to travel after he retired making the circuit to Kentucky for the Derby, South Texas for the winter and Colorado for the summer.

He is survived by his beloved wife and travel companion, Doris Cooper; and by his five children and their spouses: Harlan and Glenda Cooper of Duncanville, TX, Lynna and Tommy Whiteside of Newalla, Karen and Rich Pennington of Duncanville, TX, T.R. and Jeri Lynn Cooper of Newalla, and Pat and Buck Jones of Winchester, KY. Tom is also survived by nine beautiful grandchildren that he was so proud of and two great grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at Little Axe State Park on Wednesday, October 6, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers his family requests donations to your favorite charity in Tom's memory..
