Shawnee resident Gene Johnson, 70, passed away peacefully at his home, where his father grew up, surrounded by family on Saturday, January 8, 2022.

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Calvary Cemetery.

Gene was born August 4, 1951 in Shawnee to Paul and Norma Johnson. He attended school at St. Benedicts until it closed and graduated from Shawnee High School. He spent his adult life building homes and businesses in Shawnee. He loved riding his Harley Davidson and living life and doing what he wanted.

He was preceded in death by his father, daughter: Casie, brother: Johnny, and a sister: Cindy Allen.

Survivors include his sons: Caleb Johnson and wife Amber, Cody Johnson and wife Jennifer, his mother: Norma Johnson, granddaughter: Cloey, grandson: Caleb II, and granddaughters: Caitlin and Jaicee, siblings: Elizabeth, Jamie, Mary, Mark, Michael, and Kathryn, and several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
