Bruce D. Alford, 69, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 in Oklahoma City.

He was born July 11, 1952 to George and Karleta (Makaseah) Alford in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Bruce was raised in Shawnee. He lived in Tulsa, OK for 20 years and returned to Tecumseh where he has lived for the last 18 years.

Bruce married Sandra Huckaby on March 2, 1981 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

He was a bricklayer and worked for James and Danny Bryd for many years.

Bruce was a hard worker and loved classic rock music, going to concerts and the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Bruce "Emmitt" Alford; 1 brother, Rick Alford; and 2 sisters, Janette Blood and Barbara Carpitcher.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Alford of the home; 2 daughters, Kara Lowe of Norman and Jessica Alford-Monk of Muskogee; 1 son, Jason Alford of Tecumseh; 9 grandchildren, Makenzie Alford, Dylan Alford, Blake Alford, Reagan Alford, Jaci Alford, Taylor Lowe, Zach Alford, Caden Lowe and Preston Lowe; 1 great-grandson, Alexander Pichardo; 1 sister, Joyce Burris of Shawnee; 1 brother and 1 sister-in-law, David and Lee Alford of Shawnee; and many other extended family members and friends.

Wake service will be Thursday Evening, February 10, 2022 at Absentee Shawnee Tribe Community Center in Little Axe. Burial will be Friday morning, February 11, 2022 at Alford-Brown Family Cemetery in Shawnee under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
