September 20, 1934 ~ January 05, 2026

If ever there was a person who epitomized generosity and a loving spirit, it was Jacqueline (Jackie) Madole. She passed away on January 5, 2026 at the age of 91 in Edmond where she had lived recently to be near her son and his family.

Her husband, Bill Madole, who was the love of her life, preceded her in death. They shared 49 wonderful years together, traveled extensively and he filled her life with laughter. They were an amazing couple who touched so many lives. A lifelong resident of Shawnee, Jackie lived in Bethel Acres and was an active member of Blackburn Chapel Baptist Church for decades.

She was born on September 20, 1934, to Hugh and Bertha Carpenter and was the youngest daughter of their family of 12 children.

Jackie was preceded in death by her mother and father as well as her 11 siblings.

Straight out of high school, she went to work for Southwestern Bell which later became AT&T. She started as a switchboard operator and spent her entire career there working in various positions until her retirement.

The is survived by her son Robert Madole, his wife Melissa and her beloved grandchildren, Annie and Maddux. Beyond her immediate family Jackie is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends.

Jackie and Bill opened their hearts and their home, not only to their family, but also to countless other members of the community. In the summer, their pool was always open to share and at Christmas time their Christmas Eve gathering brought people from near and far and created lifelong memories for so many. The house would be filled with gospel singing and Christmas carols, Santa came to visit the children at the end of the night, and everyone was sent home with a sack full of candy and fruit tied with a red ribbon. At Jackie's home, there was always room for one more and everyone was welcome. Jackie would be the first to tell you that she had an absolutely wonderful life. She will be greatly missed, but will always be remembered with a smile because of her loving and generous spirit. Hers was a life well lived.

Visitation was held at Walker Funeral Home, 201 E 45th St., Shawnee, Okla., on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 12 - 6 p.m. and will continue on Thursday, January 8 from 9 a.m. -7 p.m. with family present 5 - 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Blackburn Chapel Baptist Church.
