Services for Leonard William Haines, 98, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the Marine Honor Guard.

Mr. Haines passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the VA Center in Sulphur. He was born October 27, 1918 at Ada to John Page and Oma Lee Lyles Haines. He lived in this area all his life.

He married Fannie Ozella Sutton March 19, 1951 of Ada. She preceded him in death October 9, 2015. Mr. Haines was a concrete finisher until his retirement. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Ada and had served in the U. S. Marines for five years serving in the South Pacific during World War II. Mr. Haines was a Little League Coach and an Ada Boys Club coach for many years. He was a competitive archer and loved to hunt and fish.

Survivors include two sons, Lee Haines and Lynn Haines and wife Rebecca, all of Ada; three grandchildren, Lance Haines and wife Hope of Ada, Riley Haines and wife Ashley of Ada and Jessica Haines of Madison, WI; three great-grandchildren, Lane Haines, Londyn Haines and Adelynn Haines; a sister, Nevada Maddox of Oklahoma City; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Rodney Garrison; a daughter, Susie Haines; three brothers, Clifford Haines, Delbert Haines and Floyd Haines; and two sisters, Jewell Willoughby and Della Haney Roberson.

Bearers will be Lee Haines, Lynn Haines, Lance Haines, Riley Haines, Coy Hisaw and Brent Trammell.
