Services for Antonio (Tony) Vazquez, 67, are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Father Aaron Foshee will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Tony passed away on Friday, March 17th at a local hospital. He was born on November 24, 1955 in San Juan de Los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico to Jose Guadalupe and Melecia Vazquez.
Tony grew up in Mexico but when he was eighteen, he took a chance and moved to the United States. He moved to Ada and initially worked at the brick plant, but later went to work at Polo's Authentic Mexican Restaurant in Seminole and in Ada.
Tony was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched. Tony had such a big heart and never met a stranger. He was known for always having a smile on his face and a laugh in his belly. He was very skilled at flirting with the ladies and could be found sitting on his couch and catching up on the latest telenovelas. He didn't have children of his own, so he loved and cherished spending time with his many nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his brother Hipolito Vazquez (Teresa) of Ada, OK; sisters Raquel Silvestre of San Juan de Los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico; Maria del Socorro Gutierrez (Manuel) of Ada, OK; Maria Vazquez de Lopez (Andres) of Ada, OK; and thirty-four nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Gabriel Vazquez and Manuel Vazquez.
