Services for Allene (Toni) Stokes, 87 of Caņon City, Colorado, formerly of Ada. are 10:00 Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Stokes passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 in Caņon City, Colorado. She was born October 11, 1934 in Leachville, Arkansas to a Charles A. and Eva Clubb Bennett.
Allene attended St. Joseph school and was of Protestant faith, she married Walter Stokes June 9th, 1951 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. They later moved to Ada, Oklahoma in 1968. She served Wal-Mart for 30 years as a retail clerk.
She is survived by her three children, Eva Schneider and husband Jerry, Mike Stokes, Janet Horn and husband Hubert. She has 4 grandchildren: Cyndi Allen, Curtis and Stacie Wartchow, Tara Ray, and Misti Ray, 3 step-grandchildren: Kim and Rodney Carter, Jerry and Amanda Horn, Troy D. and Karin Horn, 15 Great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Stokes, her son, Bill Stokes, and grandson Shane Wood.
Pallbearers: Chad Lancaster, Pete Price, Stephen Lancaster, Kenny Hayes, Shannon White, and Steve Bennett.
Honorary Pallbearers: Curtis Wartchow, Cole Wartchow, Bransen Allen, Rayce Forbis, and Conner Ray
