Services for Timothy William Smith, 60, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Asbury United Methodist Church, Dr. Travis Muse will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Smith died Sunday, March 7, 2021 at his home. He was born September 9, 1960 in Hutchinson, KS to John William and Ruth Marie Zielke Smith. He graduated from Alva High School in 1978.
He was employed as a mechanic at K-Mart, and later worked at Ada Auto, affiliated with the Methodist Church and the Pontotoc National Alliance for the Mentally Ill.
Survivors include two sisters, Diann Groshong and husband Ben, Richardson, TX, and Debbie Whelchel and husband John, Ada; a brother, Todd Smith and wife Dana, Roff; nieces and nephews, Kristi Stanberry and husband Travis, Ada, Kayla Brikowski, Richardson, TX, Jacob Whelchel and Loren Drake, Ada, Chandler Smith and wife, Becca, Oscada, MI, Joshua Brikowski, Rich, TX and Carter Smith, Fitzhugh; great-nieces and nephews, Claire, Ian, Abby and Hayden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Smith.
Bearers will be John Whelchel, Todd Smith, Ben Groshong, Jacob Whelchel, Travis Stanberry and Josh Brikowski. Honorary bearers will be Chandler Smith and Carter Smith.
