Services for Albert Earl Pierce, 87, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Pierce died Friday, August 24, 2018 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born February 16, 1931 in Stratford to William Mavery and Virgie Miller Pierce.

He married Gwendolen Pinley on November 3, 1951. Mr. Pierce served in the U.S. Navy and was later employed as an oil well pumper, farmer and rancher.

Survivors include his wife Gwendolen of the home; four sons, Leon Pierce and wife Heidi of Michigan, Robert Pierce of Ada, Wayne Pierce and wife Diane of Yukon and Billy Pierce of Pauls Valley; five grandchildren, Amy, Philip, Andrew, Michelle and Matt; nine great-grandchildren, Logan, Brandyn, Dylan, Christina, Tye, Trae, Peyton, Hannah and Nina; one brother-in-law Glen Pinley and wife Judy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a great-grandson, Adam Michael Pierce; two sisters Aleta Ingram and husband Luther and Ailene Pennington and husband Calvin; two brothers, Mavery Pierce and Floyd Pierce; and a niece Sharon Kay McLeod.

Bearers will be Terry Haggard, Garry Haggard, William Ingram, Roger Ingram, Dave Pinley and Mike Pinley
