Services for Alcia Ruth Pettigrew, 86, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 8, 2021 at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. David Gray will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Ms. Pettigrew passed away Friday, October 1, 2021 at a local hospital. She was born November 22, 1934 in Bunch Creek, to Oren and Gladys Bailey Clavin. She was a registered nurse at Valley View Hospital for 36 years and after she retired, she volunteered at elementary schools.
She married Hershel Pettigrew April 27, 1957 in Newkirk, OK. He preceded her in death in 1981.
She is survived by her two sons, Alan Pettigrew (Rita Bibles), Bartlesville, OK and Dan Pettigrew and wife Lea Ann, Ada; one daughter, Cynthia Wood and husband Kelly, Ada; one sister, Esther Berryman and husband Loy, Cleveland, OK; six grandchildren, Jason Pettigrew, Jaime Pettigrew, Pamela Grafton, Stephanie Wood, and Austin and Blake Pettigrew; and two great grandchildren, London and Kooper Pettigrew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Zane Clavin and sister, Colleen Kasper.
Bearers are Blake Pettigrew, Austin Pettigrew, Terry Summers, Jason Pettigrew, Jon Grafton, and Kelly Wood.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to Mercy Foundation, Mercy Ada Cancer Center, and the Patient Crisis Fund at 430 N. Monte Vista, Ada, OK 74820.
