Graveside services for Mary Ruth Morgan, 96, of Oklahoma City, OK (formerly of Ada) will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 19, 2020 at Rosedale Cemetery. Adam Hampton will officiate.
Mrs. Morgan passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at her home. She was born May 31, 1924 to Lorenzie Dow and Ozetta Curry Hanor in East Prairie, MO.
She and Elbert E. (Bud) Morgan were married January 25, 1947 in DeSoto, MS. She was a loving and cherished wife, mom, and nana.
She and her husband Bud relocated from Missouri to Ada, Oklahoma in 1966 to open the first brokerage office in Ada for Edward Jones which they ran as a team for many enjoyable years.
They attended the First Presbyterian Church of Ada, OK.
Survivors include her husband of over 73 years, Elbert (Bud) Morgan; two daughters, Phyllis Morgan of Cape Girardeau, MO and Susan Haney and husband Doug of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Tim Murphy of Bernie, MO, Melissa Murphy of St. Louis, MO, Monica Haney Maley and husband Zachary of Norman, and Jeremy Haney and wife Amy of Oklahoma City; six great-grandchildren, BJ Burge, Brock Burge, and Makayla Burge, all of St. Louis, MO., Brooklyn Morgan Haney and Bonnie Marie Haney, both of Oklahoma City; and a brother, Frank Hanor and wife Imogene, East Prairie, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, L.D. Hanor, Elbert Hanor, Ray Hanor, and Earnest Hanor; five sisters, Annie Baker, Vera Baker, Margaret Wilson, Mildred Adkinnson, and Evelyn Thomasson.
