Services for Seth Jordan Mason, 21, of Wewoka are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Ada First Baptist Church, Chaplains Kent Dowell and John Curtis will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada.
Mr. Mason passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at his home. He was born June 13, 1997 at Ada to Jay Edward and Trena Renee Riffe Mason. Seth graduated from Byng High School in 2016. He also graduated from the Pontotoc Vo-Tech Fire Academy and was currently attending CLEET Training.
Seth was currently working as a Hughes County Sherriff Deputy, a fireman on the Wewoka Fire Department and also working as a Hughes County EMS.
Survivors include his parents, Jay and Trena Mason, of Ada; sister, Taylen Mason of Ada; brother, Peyton Mason, and sister, Jade Allen of Edmond; his girlfriend, SteVona Gilbert; grandparents, Dennis Mason, Donna Riffe and Billy Ray Riffe; his aunts and uncles, James and Johna Stringer, Roland and Nikki Miller, Billy P. Riffe and wife Brittany and Jared and Jessica Riffe; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Jeannie Mason.
Bearers will be the Oklahoma City Police Honor Guard. Honorary bearers will be John Jones, Gavin Brecheen, Dalton Presley, Austin Haines, Zakry Crabtree, Wade Miller, Brett Miller, Dion Wild and Brian Iker; Hughes County Sheriff Deputies, the Wewoka Fire Department and the Hughes County EMS personnel.
