A visitation to honor the life of Bobbie Wayne Gray, 91, of Ada, will be held from 1:00–3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Criswell Funeral Home. Bobbie peacefully passed away on a snowy Thursday, January 9, 2025, in Norman, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 19, 1933, in Ada, Bobbie was the daughter of Drexel and Irma Henry Sales. She grew up in Byng, attending Byng Public Schools and proudly graduating from Byng High School.

After high school, Bobbie married Walter Gray of Ada, OK, and together they built a long life of family, fun, and community. She began her career at Gem Jewelers, where her coworkers and customers became an extension of her family. The store wasn’t just her workplace—it was her “home away from home.”

Bobbie and Walter raised their two children, Glenna and Billy Keith, in Ada. She was not only a devoted wife and mother but also a beloved “MeMe” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.

Known for her warmth and vibrant personality, Bobbie cherished taking yearly trips to California with her lifelong friends from Byng. She enjoyed playing Bridge, dancing, and admiring the “good lookin’ guys.” Bobbie’s love language was food; if she loved you, you were undoubtedly fed by her. Her home was a place of comfort, where meals were shared, laughter echoed, and hearts were nourished.

Bobbie was a spunky, beautiful soul—a true “Gem” whose radiant smile could brighten any room. Her legacy of kindness, humor, and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Glenna Southerland; her grandchildren, Sari Gray, Trey Southerland, Drew Southerland, Daron Southerland, and Tyler Southerland; and her great-grandchildren, Cade Zimmerman, Rhett Zimmerman, Caroline Southerland, and Drexel Southerland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Gray; her parents; her son, Billy Keith Gray; her brother, Keith Sales; and her sister, Wanda Landrith.

A member of Trinity Baptist Church, Bobbie enjoyed her time of devotion, worship. and fellowship at her church. In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial contributions to the Trinity Baptist Church Community Assistance Ministry, a cause close to her heart.

Bobbie will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved her.
