Graveside services for Merilyn May Lindsey Allen, 90, of Sulphur, are 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2021 at Rosedale Cemetery, Pastors Shawn Kirk and Tom Hefley will officiate.

Mrs. Allen passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at a Davis nursing home. She was born March 23, 1931 in Oklahoma City, OK to Ernest Buren and Gertrude May Chisum Duncan. She graduated from high school in Muskogee and attended the University of Oklahoma.

She married Bobbie Omer Lindsey, February 3, 1950 in Muskogee. He preceded her in death December 1, 2002. She later married Glen H. “Peck” Allen on December 31, 2005 in Tulsa. He preceded her in death October 13, 2019. Mrs. Allen worked as a medical records transcriptionist at a hospital in Sulphur. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her two sons, David W. Lindsey and wife Sherri, Tulsa and D. Lee Lindsey and wife Christi, St. Louis, MO; two daughters, Becky R. Butler and husband Dan, Sulphur and Laura J. Dooley and husband Jeff, Ada; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and both of her husbands.

Bearers are Dan Butler, Jeff Dooley, Lee Lindsey, Daniel Dugger, Jonathan Lindsey, Shawn Kirk and Tom Hefley. Honorary bearer will be David Lindsey.
