Rose Q. (Quinn) Osborn

A memorial celebration will be held at a later date for Rose Q. Osborn. Rose, 94, died in Ada, OK on June 1, 2016. She was born in Aransas Pass, Texas, on April 24, 1922 to Lewis Elmo and Rosa Quinn.

She graduated from high school in 1939 in Woodsboro, Texas, as valedictorian of her class. She then attended college in Temple, Texas, where she met Carl Osborn. They were married in Dallas, Texas, in 1942 while he was in medical school. She worked in the hospital lab while he attended school. After he graduated, they moved to Ada, where he practiced medicine until his death in 1993.

She was a full time wife, mother and homemaker, and she was active in the many local community services in her younger years, such Medical Auxiliary, meals on wheels, voter election worker and precinct inspector for many years. Rose was well known around the community and well loved by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Carl D. Osborn; son, Dr. Carl Larry Osborn; and grandson Brandon Osborn; brothers, Lewis Elmo Quinn, Jr. and James Lester Quinn. She is survived by sons, Carl Davis Osborn, Jr. and wife Jan, Yukon, OK; Dr. Carl Quinn Osborn and wife Deb, Athens, TN; daughters, Sharon Rose Osborn Myers and husband Dale, Tupelo, OK; and Nancy Rose Osborn and husband Marty Eison, Frisco, TX; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth R. Osborn, Arvada, CO; daughter-in-law, Susan M. Osborn, Denver, CO. Grandchildren include: Laura Osborn Bedrossian and husband Asbed, Glendale, CA; Sara Rose Mahate Osborn, Berkley, CA; Dr. Ross Osborn and wife Louise, St. Augustine, FL; Carl Davis (Davey) Osborn and wife Melissa, Oklahoma City; Julie Osborn Pierce and husband Matt, Owasso, OK; Emily Rose Myers Reed and husband Troy, Thornton, CO; Shari Myers Manwell and husband Mark, Ada, OK; Samantha Myers Childress and husband Jason, McLoud, OK; Adam Myers and wife Elaine, Oklahoma City, OK. Great-grandchildren include: Daron and Lily Bedrossian; Rowen Osborn; Gabrielle and Matthew Osborn; Davis (CDO IV), Paige and Bizi Osborn; Jayci and Addison Pierce; Carli Rose, Ava and Maeli Manwell; Hank, Annabelle, GraceAnne, Samuel, Lillianna and Daniel Childress; Dillan, Jeffrey, Marcus and Penny Myers.
