Graveside services for Joyce Walker, 77, of Ada are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Oakman Cemetery, Rev. Dan Cusher will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Walker passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020 at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born July 26, 1942 at Scullin, OK to D. I. “Doc” and Ora Mae Payne Byers. She attended Latta grade school and graduated from Latta High School in 1960.

She married Glenn Dyarl Walker June 9, 1978. Mrs. Walker had worked for Brockway Glass Company for over 30 years and she was a longtime member of the Homer Baptist Church. Mrs. Walker had a green thumb and loved working outside and she was an excellent cook.

Survivors include her husband, Glenn, of the home; three sons, Scott Thurman and wife Kamie, Pea Ridge, AR, Jason Thurman and wife Erika, Edmond and Dell Walker and wife Kim, Guthrie; a daughter, Kim Miller and husband Bryan, Canyon Lake, TX; sister, Patricia Raymond, Kaufman, TX; brother, James Byers and wife Glenna, Ada; her grandchildren, Jessica Thurman, Rogers, AR, Matthew Thurman, Ada, Addison Woodward, Canyon Lake, TX, Sydnee and Kevin Trowbridge, Guthrie, TX and Sierra and Megan Walker, Guthrie; her great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Ferguson, Kaitlyn Ferguson, and Lindsay Ferguson, Rogers, AR, and Walker Trowbridge, Guthrie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Michael Thurman.
