Zora (Ragland) Wilson-Williams

Services for Zora Williams, 98, Ada, are 12 noon Saturday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Tony Folger will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery .

Mrs. Williams died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at a local nursing home. She was born March 19, 1911, in the Oakman community east of Ada to Marsh and Artie Crump Ragland. She lived in this area all her life and attended school at Oakman .

She married Jessie Clyde Wilson in 1929 at Sulphur. He died in 1970. She later married J.A. Williams in 1973 at McAlester. He died in 1990.

Mrs. Williams worked at Tinker Air Force Base during World War II and at Montgomery Ward for 25 years as an office cashier, retiring in 1973. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Ada, a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include a daughter, Billie Wilson Halverson, Byars; grandchildren, Terry Koontz, Ada, Rusty Halverson, Pauls Valley, Maury Halverson, Ada, and Michael Halverson, Pauls Valley; great-grandchildren, Jake and Sam Halverson, Kayla, Miriah and Jessica Halverson; and Creed and Hart Halverson, and several nieces and nephews.

Bearers will be her grandsons and nephews, Terry Koontz, Rusty Halverson, Maury Halverson, Michael Halverson, Gilbert Ragland, Dale Ragland, and Brad Beller.
