Graveside services for Bobby Clifford Johns, 84, of Ada are 11:00 a.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Randy Johns and Rusty Tugman will officiate. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Johns passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at a local nursing home. He was born January 1, 1936 to Clifford and Stella A. Landrith Johns. He graduated from Ada High School in 1954 and received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from East Central University.

Bobby married Gayle Russell, April 4, 1958. Mr. Johns taught at Byng High School from 1961 until retiring in 1995. Later, he was employed with People’s Electric Cooperative. He was a longtime active member of Southwest Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Gayle, of the home; two sons, Ronny Johns and wife Renee and Randy Johns and wife Loree; a daughter, Risa Forrester and husband Tim; six grandchildren, Ali Lawson and husband Blake, Quaid and Molly Johns, Jacy Johns, Luke and Lindsey Johns, Taylor and Katie Johns and Cal Forrester; four great-grandsons, Aiden, Lane, Lincoln and Jett; and a sister, Jan Rowsey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Annetta Gibson.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Cap-Haitian Children’s Home, c/o Southwest Church of Christ, 505 W. 17th, Ada, OK 74820.
