Services for Betty Jean Carpenter, 93, of Duncan, formerly of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Rusty Fuller will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Carpenter passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at a Duncan nursing home. She was born November 16, 1922 at Hutchinson, KS to Claude Patrick and Elizabeth Mattenly Collier. She graduated from Northside High School in Wichita, KA.

She married Wayne Carpenter November 1 1941. He preceded her in death November 6, 1975. Mrs. Carpenter was a Supervisor at Solo Cup Company, retiring after 27 years of service. She was a longtime active member of Trinity Baptist Church in Ada.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Carpenter of Ft. Worth and Rick Carpenter and wife Terri of Enid; a daughter, Jacki McDaniel of Duncan; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Carpenter and Ronald Carpenter; and two brothers.

Bearers will be her grandsons.
