Services for Reva Sue Willoughby, 78, will be held at Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church, Tuesday, March 15th, at 2pm. Officiating the services will be her grandson, Rev. Jarrod Newby, assisted by her nephew Rev. Toby Willoughby, and grandson Lucas Cane. Burial and graveside services will be held at Maxwell Cemetery, immediately following.

Reva Sue Horton Willoughby, of Oil Center, passed away on March 11, 2016. She was born July 6th, 1937 near Tupelo, to Velma and Leon Horton. She married LeRoy Willoughby on August 13th, 1955.

Mrs. Willoughby was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, D. Leon Horton, and two sisters, Dorothy “Cookie” Hasbell, and Ruby Laxton. She is survived by her husband Leroy, of the home, daughter Debbie Henson of Oil Center, Jan Newby and husband Jerrell of Oil Center, Patti Cane and husband Morris of Vanoss, Russell Willoughby, of Oil Center, Vickie Holt and husband Rocky, of Union Hill. She is survived also, by ten grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, and one great –great granddaughter, and numerous nephews and nieces, and generations of friends and family who lovingly called her grandma, granny, and Aunt Sue.

Mrs. Willoughby attended Latta Schools. For many years she worked alongside her husband on the family farm and grocery business. Her most important job was as a devoted homemaker, dutifully and lovingly caring for her many children and grandchildren. For many years she raised beautiful flowers and caring for her precious flower beds with the same loving attention, grace and tenderness that she was known and will be remembered for. Mrs. Willoughby was a wonderful cook, always preparing enough food for any number of family members and friends who she gladly welcomed to her table. She taught her daughters how to raise and preserve food, to sew and take care of a home and family.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Josh Newby, Erik Hatton, Micheal Willoughby, Jarrod Newby, Lucas Cane, Dal Willoughby, Doltin Holt, and Noah Willoughby. Honorary bearers are Ronnie Hicks, husband of granddaughter Chasity Hicks, Richard Cooper, husband of granddaughter of Merinda Cooper, Scott Ward, husband of granddaughter Haley Ward.
