Services for Carmoleta Sue James, 78, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at Maxwell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. James passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at an Ardmore hospital. She was born September 14, 1937 in Stratford to William and Annie Ashabranner Wall. She graduated from Vanoss High School.

She married Wayne James. He preceded her in death 1990. Mrs. James was a nurse’s aide at Jan Frances Nursing Home, retiring after 30 years of service.

Survivors include a son, Eddie James and his wife Kelly of Wildomar, CA; three grandchildren, Casie Elkins and her husband Michael, and Shane and Shannon James; two great-grandsons, Brayden and Braxton Elkins; two sisters, Patricia Odom and Betty Allen; and a brother, Johnny Wall and his wife Angie of Bromide.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne James; her parents; two brothers, William Wall, Jr. and Billy Joe Ashabranner; and a sister, Patsy Clark.

Bearers will be Heath Wall, Gage Wall, Billy Wall, William Odom, Hugh Jr. Odom and J. J. Odom.
