Services for Ellen Joyce Barnett, 70, of Vanoss are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Mark Welch will officiate. Burial will follow at Lightning Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Ms. Barnett died Friday, March 20, 2015 at her home. She was born January 9, 1945 at Sulphur to Steve Kirk, Jr. and Mavis Collum Kirk.
She married Leon Barnett July, 1962. Ms. Barnett had been employed with Big D Dairy Lou and later she was a secretary for MFA Propane in Roff until her retirement. She was a member of the United Church of God in Oklahoma City.
Survivors include three daughters, Ginger Killian of Ada, Kimberly Dodge and husband Glenn of East Jesse and Teresa Johnston and husband Kim of Blair; a son, Brynn Barnett and wife Cara of Mt. View; her parents, Steve and Mavis Kirk of Vanoss; 10 grandchildren, Brittany Proctor and husband Terre, Ada, Kevin Killian, Ada, Megan Ivy and husband Ricky, Oklahoma City, Jeremy Thurman, Cleveland, Zachery Dodge, Fittstown, Vannessa Dodge, East Jesse, Zak Johnston and wife K.C., Colorado Springs, CO, Brooke Reid and husband Will, Lawton, Ashton Rackliff, Blair and Shelby Clark and husband Jacob, Mangum; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Brenda Phillips, Ada, Darlene Mischnick, Mineola, TX and Angela Kirk, Vanoss; and a brother, Carey Kirk, Fitzhugh.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dewayne Kirk and Vincent Kirk; and a sister, Irene Davis.
Bearers will be Terre Proctor, Gary Melton, Jimmy Littlejohn, David Harrelson, Keith Kirk and Michael Kirk. Honorary bearer will be Kevin Killian.
