Services for Nova Ivey, 89, of Sulphur Springs, TX, formerly of Roff are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home, Rev. Robert Green will officiate. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Roff. The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 2:00 p.m. before the service.

Mrs. Ivey died Sunday, March 29, 2015 in Sulphur Springs. She was born May 27, 1925 near Lone Wolf, OK to Everet and Eara Roxie Willis York. She and her family moved to Roff in 1941 from Washita, OK. She graduated from Roff High School as the Valedictorian of her class in 1943.

She married Thomas L. “Tom” Ivey in March, 1943. He preceded her in death on October 10, 1988. Mrs. Ivey was the Office Manager for Criswell Funeral Home for many years and later she was employed with Pontotoc County Bank and the Roff Sand Plant. She attended the Abundant Life Church near Stratford.

Survivors include a son, Buzzy Ivey and wife Shela, Sulphur Springs, TX; two brothers, Bill York and wife Jeleeta M. and Payton York and wife Yvonne Jo, all of Oklahoma City; her grandchildren, Todd Speaks and wife Kenda, Tracey Jackson and husband Jason, Wendy Welch and Amy Gant; her great-grandchildren, Faith and Kaylee Speaks, Carson Speaks, Addison and Kylynn Jackson, Daly Welch, Jake Welch and Shade Gant; and a special nephew, Richard Earl Etchieson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Kay Speaks; and two sisters, Dora Daiker and Dorothy Etchieson.
