Services for Wanda Jo Murphy, 100, formerly of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the First Free Will Baptist Church; Rev. Charley Murphy and Rev. John Henry Lippard will officiate. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery.

Mrs. Murphy passed away Monday, July 21, 2025, in Oklahoma City. She was born January 16, 1925, in Center, OK to E.T. “Ted” and Vinnie Estell McIlroy Cox.

On August 21, 1943, she married Paul Murphy. He preceded her in death on December 8, 2021. She was a longtime active member of the Free Will Baptist Churches in Gaar Corner, Ada, and Pickett-Center.

Survivors include her two sons, Larry Murphy and wife Barbara of Oklahoma City and Charley Murphy and wife Janie of Clinton; daughter, Paula Bloom of Oklahoma City; sister, Beverly Franz and husband Bill of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; parents, Ted and Estell Cox; brothers, Doyle Cox and Darwin “Dobby” Cox; son-in-law, Gary Bloom; and great grandson, Patrick Murphy.

Bearers are Brian Murphy, Brandon Bloom, Bryan Bloom, Griffin Bloom, Jason Skaggs, and Tony Cook.
