Mary Louise (Summers) Taylor West

Services for Mary Louise Taylor West, 83, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Willie White will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Francis.

Mrs. Taylor died Friday, April 13, 2012 at an Oklahoma City assisted living center. She was born August 18, 1928 in Ada, Oklahoma to William “Bill” Summers and Clara Mae Teel Summers. She attended Glenwood schools.

She married Louis Olen West in 1944. He preceded her in death on February 16, 1956. She later married Glendon Taylor. Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was formerly a member of the Cedar Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Taylor was an avid gardener and enjoyed walking at Wal-Mart.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda West and her husband Lynn of Francis, and Brenda Hall and her husband, Dr. Bruce Hall of Ada; two sons, William “Bud” West and his wife Christine of Francis, and Jerry West and his wife Linda of Francis; a step-daughter, Glenda Sue Wooten of Marlow; 13 grandchildren, Malynda O’Rielly, Harrah, Donna Garner, Bald Knob, AR, Roger Rinehold, Albion, IN, Josh West and Eddie West of Sacramento, CA, Cody West, Las Vegas, NV, Deanna Walker, Francis, Ernie West, Amarillo, TX, Darren West, Wichita, KS, Brian Goodwin, Ada, Grant Hall, Moore. Angela Johnson and Kendra Hooser Patterson; 25 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Joe Michael West; a step-son, Kenny Taylor; a grandson, Jerry Michael West; her parents, William Bill and Clara Mae Teel Summers; two sisters, Billie Bartoo and Elizabeth Cooper; and three brothers, Cletus Summers, Clarence Summers and Stanley Summers.

Bearers will be her grandsons, Roger Rinehold, Dakota Walker, Ernie West, Darren West, Brian Goodwin, and Grant Hall. Honorary bearers will be Kip Still, Kyle Still and Larry Arthur.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association, Oklahoma and Arkansas Chapter, Inc., 2448 E. 81st Street, Ste. 3000, Tulsa, OK 74137.
